We have been adding a feature on a few sites recently..it adds a 'like' button to threads/posts. It's not tied to facebook or anything at all, but it's a way for a member to quickly, and easily indicate that they liked the content of a thread or post. No rating to figure out, just one click and done....<snip>.....

I really don't have much for thoughts on the "likes" thing. I don't do Facebook or anything like it. It seems like a lot of this social networking stuff is for kids.

I concur. The amount of posts on a thread normally indicates to me if people like it. That or it was just a really dumb idea someone had. Like stacks.
