You wouldn't happen to be one who will be affected by the Arizona immigration law?

looking at this clown (obama) objectively, i can see absolutely nothing that i like about him or anything good that he has done. the best that we can hope for is that all his programs and initiatives get stalled in congress until the end of his first and only term.

i get sick every time i see a service member salute him

Yes, then we can find out what the Republican's solution is to the problems we have. Or we may get 4 years of blaming it on Obama and Bush.

what is really scary is to look and see how he has done nothing with this oil spill and has no plan as to what to do either. this is 2 months later and no clue. and while this is big and devistating what if there was an real attack or some type of national security incident, what would this bozo do then? reading a teleprompter speech aint gonna cut it.

Come on people, don't be so tough on Obama. He did just get there, a year and a half ago. He did inherit a mess, which didn't include a major ecological disaster. He's got his socialist mop out and is trying to clean up. He's trying to do SOMETHING!

Hope and change. Hope and change. Hope and change. Hope and change. Hope and change. Hope and change. Hope and change. Hope and change. Hope and change. Hope and change. Hope and change. Hope and change. HOPE AND CHANGE DAMMIT!

How about reinventing the game of "Slug Bug or Punch Buggy," but instead of punching the person in the arm when first sighting a VW Bug.....you punch an Obama voter and/or supporter in the face for voting and/or supporting him.

Why is it every time I see Ovomit speak I am reminded of a Black Angus bull with diarrrhea? Honestly, I wanted to get out some hip boots and a scoop shovel at least, or a Ford tractor with a scoop when I heard that speech.

I'm beginning to think the only shovel ready jobs Ovomit's people have created are cleaning up the manure after one of their speeches.

WARNING: THREAD WANDER.

I find it very concerning that even after the almost $1,000,000,000,000 spent on "stimulus" the anointed one wants more money to spend on "stimulus". It was sold as this was all the economy needed, or the unemployment will raise to above 8%. Now the economy needs more needless and pointless spending to keep it improving.

One of the most aggravating things about the stimulus package, is they want to make small business loans. Small businesses need customers, more so than loans. They need to put money in the populations pockets, then the businesses will make their on way. For a family biz, it is better to grow from profits than loans. It is slower growth, but much more of a success rate.

Sorry about the off topic, but the previous posts made me think of it. But we get calls everyday from third party companies trying to help us get grant money(they call it) when in fact it is loans, and the third party makes money from helping you get them.

You'll need a bigger tractor

I understand the nation's frustration with this oil spill but I am not sure what anyone expects a president to do about it. He isn't a professional in the oil industry. We are dealing with an issue that isn't a common issue. The only real solution is to get the relief wells in there which takes time. All of these other things have been "stunts" meant to make people feel they are trying.

This isn't the same as Katrina where the help never came to the people. We have dealt with hurricanes before and know how to get rescue supplies to people in need. Most of the items that were meant for the hurricane victims ended up in storage and never got to the people. That was just poor execution.

The closest spill we have to compare this to is the Exxon Valdez spill 20 years ago. I think compared to that Obama is doing pretty well. He is at least making BP liable for their actions. Exxon was allowed to fight tooth and nail for decades and ended up walking away with a slap on the wrist. BP may be gone by the time this is resolved.

It is going to take time to clean this up and regardless of our efforts, nature tends to do most of the work but it takes time to recover from disasters.

I hear people being all over Obama about the economy but we didn't get into the crapper over night and anyone that thought it was going to be a quick exit is fooling themselves. Eight years of the Bush administration to the truck stuck in mud all the way to the roof line. Now we have to back out of the mess. It may take another year or two before we truly see the end of this. I agree that you can't pour money on the situation and expect it to be better overnight. That said, you can't run a government without collecting taxes. We need to build from the base...you need taxes to have better schools and create more skilled people. There are only so many jobs that can be done without some skill set.

You have to build things to expand your economy. Unfortunately we only want to do things on the cheap. The reality is that yes we can make things here but they will cost more than those made by people that make a buck a day. If you want a $20 dvd player, it won't be made in the USA. Until we realize that we are being penny foolish and dollar stupid by importing everything we use then we will suffer.

The problem most people, I've talked to have is that when Obama was able and it was appropriate to provide help he did nothing but play golf. He didn't tell the government to get out of the way and allow immediate response. Now that it is too late for him to do anything he is trying to appear to provide help and telling BP what they are already doing. He is telling them they will pay reimbursement to the companies and people effected. Uh Johnny-come-lately, BP is already doing that. He is telling them they must do it faster. I'm guessing he wants it about as fast as the Katrina monetary aid came. If I recall correctly, that program was fraught with fraud, waste and abuse. Yet, he seems to want that as the guiding program for BP.

I think the most telling discussion was when the EPA told BP to change dispersants to one that was less damaging. When BP checked the MSDS for the dispersant they were using nothing showed as hazardous. But in an attempt to comply they asked the EPA which dispersant they could use. The EPA's response was classic. "We don't know. We haven't done any studies, so we don't know which dispersants are safer than the one you are using." If they haven't done any studies, how do they know the one BP was using was not safe? None of the individual chemicals in the dispersant were considered to be harmful to the environment. The biggest question is was the dispersant being used safer than letting the oil simply float around in the Gulf? My guess is the dispersant is safer than the oil, since that is the goal of the dispersant. Because BP had to stop using the dispersant they were using and there have been no studies done to detemine which, if any, dispersant is safer, they can not use any dispersant.

Two points here;
O-blame-a did send people down there pretty early on........he sent a bunch of LAWYERS.
And what happened with the EPA and the sand berms?

Talk about STUPID responses, he had that completely bas-akwards. Should have banned the lawyers and allowed the berms. Idk maybe it's just me!
