Looks like quite a few people were complaining about them drowning everything else out, but they ended up keeping them but are making them not be as loud. Here is a couple stories about the "vuvuzelas":

BBC is considering offering a vuvuzela free broadcast after hundreds of complaints:

I used to have a vuvuzela I painted blue and silver that I took to the Dallas Cowboy games. True story.

I'm a die-hard WC guy and I loathe those damn horns... LMAO! Reminds me of that twit from Marshall County back in the High School soccer days that used to bring that damn cow bell with her... I hated that thing and wanted to turn it sideways and shove it up her....

I digress....

Agreed with Germany, Stealth. I watched them in their 4-0 romp over Australia -- they looked solid.

I watched it too, in HD. What a sight. And to think Brad they're the 2nd youngest squad in the WC. They can only get better. We'll see how their defense holds up, but with their pinpoint passes and spot on shots and headers, they look pretty menacing on offense. May be able to outscore just about anyone. We shall see...

I always pull for Germany since the US is hardly ever any good. Half German, but all American.

All my other major nationalities percentage wise represented in my family tree are represented in the WC too.

USA, Germany, Spain, Mexico, England. Pretty cool, for a soccer fan.

I don't watch or care about hockey either, but I still pull for the US of A on the World Stage. I won't be destroying my city if they don't win though.

Unbelievably disappointing outcome in today's match -- should've been a win! I'm not one to complain about officiating considering that I am one and have done a lot of higher level games (including Division I A and High School state finals) in the past -- we, as officials in any sport, will screw up and miss a call...

BUT... it's an obvious goal to not miss calls that influence the outcome of the game...

Oh well... we can still make it out of match play but, it's a harder road now (thanks for going to a draw today, England!!)

Stealth - what happened to your Germans today?!? WOW!

I haven't seen either games yet but saw the highlights. Games still on the DVR. lol

The USA squad got ripped off IMO. The call could have gone either way but to make a call like that in the area is a game changer, and the refs don't play the game. IMO it was a blown call. If USA doesn't make the KO round I will be disappointed.

Germany, wow, indeed. Kind of surprised. Oh well, still a strong team.

Argentina is looking good too, as much as I hate Diego Maradona.

The world has a cup?? it must be pretty big because the world is big.

soccer is so lame the only good out come of soccer is the riots. those are much more exciting then the game it self.

Portugal scored 7 today.

I'm not a huge fan of soccer either, but like said before, I'll support the USA.

Everyone has an opinion...

Everyone can use a bottle of douche too...most (men) choose not to though...

I'm sneaking out of the office early on Wed... can't wait. The US has three ways to get to the round of 16... I'm hoping that one of them comes together!
