Muranic acid and foil do the same thing.

Toilet duck works better.... Fyi. Plus either use a 2 liter bottle or some of the store brands have 3 liter bottles. I don't recommend using a glass bottle, letting the pressure build and then tossing it to break the bottle. Glass shards everywhere.

Even more fun are the heaters from mre's. Crush them and put them in the bottle then add water and seal. Toss before the pressure builds too much because its scalding hot water when it blows.

so what did you do, just put the works and alum foil in the gatorade container and the reaction occurred? or did you have to shake it up?

Just put it in the bottle drop in some aluminum foil and wait. Shake if you want but i dont think it would matter as long as its in the liquid.

The neighbor kids were doing this last summer. The left the bottles for someone else to pick up. Makes one loud bang.

We used to do that and chuck it into the woods. Pretty fun to do

A few years ago on the 4th of July, the neighbor kids were shooting off little firecrackers late at night in the driveway, so I emptied out 2, 2-liter bottles of Dr Pepper my dad had, filled them up with works/foil, and tossed them out into the driveway. The 2 explosions sent a concussion across the entire neighborhood, and 1 of the kids took off screaming towards the house. Needless to say, there were no more fireworks that night.

Classic
