My wife an I go hiking up there every so often. It's not that far for us. Burlington, which I believe is the only town with something happening, is about four hours away from here. Where you are going, there ain't much going on.

Ascutney Mountain is right near there. That was a good hike.

Might want to check out Quechee Gorge. There were a couple neat things in Quechee. Kind of a rustic mill town center thing going on there. I think that Captain Kangaroo lived there untill his dealth a few years ago.

Ben and Jerrys is kind of neat. We went there before Hershey bought them out. I believe you get a half size dixi cup of ice cream at the end of the tour.

If you don't mind driving Burlington might have something going on. They've got some good resturaunts. We've seen a couple cool acid jazz type groups play at night.

I hope you go and have a good time. I know that we we go, we know that driving will be necessary. It's slower paced up there. It's a good place to relax for a while.

Hershey did not by Ben and Jerry. Unilever did in 2000. It is still a fun stop and the ice cream hasn't changed.
Quechee gorge is great. Lots of hiking and biking opportunities. Vermont is a beautiful state.

I realized after I posted that it wasn't Hershey that bought Ben and Jerry's. It was Friendly's Ice Cream, based right here where I grew up, that was bought up by Hershey. I just remeber that the two ice cream hippies sold out.

This ice cream is still good, but it has changed. The portions are smaller and it costs more.

If you were to go to the Maine coast there is a nice route (25 I think) that takes you across some nice areas of NH. Norm might be able to tell you more. It's nice but if I remember it takes forever. At least thats how long it felt using that route to get home from Sebago in Maine.

Norm is right, Vermont is beautiful. So is New Hampshire and it's a stones throw from where you will be. If you like basket ball, (I don't) the Basket Ball Hall of Fame is a reletively short drive down I91 here in my neighborhood. I've never been myself, but it looks cool driving by.

Like I've said, my wife and I are fond of VT/NH. We really enjoy visiting. I hope that you two do too.

They must have known I couldn't afford a time share. Branson Mo. only gave me two nights and passes for two backstreet shows.
I paid for Dolly's Dixie Stampede, take my word for it, don't bother, and if you do go carry some flat ware.

I also went to see some Magician that trip. He had an inflatable helicopter. My wife still thinks it was real
