most definitely. motorcycle gear looks pretty cool imo. guy came into work with a army motorcycle jacket it was probably the most BA motorcycle jacket i've ever seen.

First I agree with everyone else here, take the safety course! Its really comes down to what you want, but i've had a couple friends that have started on the 250 and a few months down the road really wished they had a 600 or something bigger then the 250.

Wear your safety gear, and goodluck finding a bike that fits you.

Heres mine 04 honda CBR 600rr

250s hold their value pretty well too. Just like you, a lot of people look for them for starter bikes so its pretty easy to sell it off. I would go that route, learn how to ride and get comfortable with it then a year later or so whenever you want to upgrade you can probably sell it for what you paid for it. Shoot if gas prices shoot back up you could probably make some money on it.

so i went on the website and clicked through all kinds of links, it said all you have to bring is your gear (and some places will even supply helmets). so they have bikes there for the course?
