Maybe CTS does make accelerator pedals for domestic Fords after all.

If everyone drove standard, this wouldn't be an issue. If the mat gets stuck, press clutch, turn on signal, steer to side of road, turn off engine, release clutch, fix problem.

Heck, think about it... its even easier with an automatic... if the mat get stuck, shift to N, turn signal on, steer to side of road, turn off engine, put into P, fix problem.

The next thing that will happen will be floor mats will be illegal.

You should write for the magazines or something. Like the really stupid magazines for $2.50 at the check-outs that nobody buys.

the three complaints they have had so far have had stacked floor mats (carpet mat with a rubber mat on top) which ford specifically says not to do.

User error plain and simple.

User error? lol

That's an understatement... glad everyone can't afford bulldozers and heavy machinery. I'd think they'd weed themselves out of their stupid-it-y.

Like they leave their boom up on their tractor and walk underneath it and it falls... like duh, read the warning stickers and the manual... it tells you not to do that. But yet they or their lawyers find some way to get legal recourse. But yet the person who ignored all of that is now rich.

I like my 06 milan too much to try and neuter it under WOT over 3k

Rumor is PCM will not allow disengage to neuter.

I saw a guy on a BobCat loader ontime, where a piece of gravel got under the pedal, that controled the boom on the loader. It just kept lifting the thing untill the bucket dumped gravel inside the wire cab on it. He wasn't wearing a hard hat either. Kinda looked like a superhero just took a dump on him

probably a little bit of a overreaction from the Toyota pedal issue.
