My wife got into a little fender bender this week, the passenger door is not sealing well at the top and leaking. I would like to cover it with plastic, what kind of tape can I use that will not peel the paint yet stick. It is raining here I think we had over an inch last night, and supposedly not much let up all week the forcasters are saying. Not only is the interior getting damp (towels stuck in there right now) but she seems to like driving my FX4 more and more..........this has to change.

 

Masking tapes always works well but you will need to dry the spot first. With that said if it is to old it doesn't matter what tape you use it will peel paint.

 

It is a 2005 Jeep with a fresh coat of Synwax FX on it...........masking tape?

 

White or blue painters tape also known as masking tape.
