Wow. Seems like a simple solution to capture the oil once it hits shore. Im sure once Obama hears about this, these guys will be detained and labled as threats to national security.

I agree. It's a nice demonstration, but I wonder why they didn't bother to use crude oil. Maybe because they're rednecks and didn't know and/or think better.

Let's say it did work.

Just how many thousands of forms would the EPA and other government agencies require before they allowed someone to put straw in the ocean?

And how many years would it take the EPA and government to process the required forms?

We cut hay to store it for the winter, when there is no grass.

True, but would you rather save the water in the Gulf and other places that we(the people) need to survive?
