The LCP was my first choice. I'm also really interested in the Taurus. My other two Taurus guns have performed flawlessly and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the TCP since it's pretty new. It's gotten favorable reviews online. I'm heading to my favorite gun store tomorrow to see what he has in stock. Either that or get the info on how to transfer a gunbroker.com purchase.

Gunbroker.com works in the way that you purchase the gun from an FLL dealer and what there gonna do is make the sale with one of your local FLL dealers who in return will sell it to you. Go down to your local gun store and ask them about information and they can help you complete the transaction, thats what I did.

i got my wife a sig p238. nice little gun. only problems that i have with it is that .380 ammo is hard to find and pricey. extra magazines are impossible to find, got an aftermarket one and it jams. it only holds 6 rounds.
i have a glock 19 but was looking at a glock 26. 9mm ammo is available and cheap.

I have a Millenium Pro in 9mm. It's small, but a little too big for me to carry comfortably. I don't mind paying a little extra for the .380 ammo since this isn't something I'll be taking to the range all the time. Just enough to get proficient with it. Then it'll just sit in my pocket full of hollow points.

I just bought a Taurus 738 a few weeks ago. Looked at it and the Ruger LCP. I liked the looks of the Ruger better but the Taurus had a much better trigger pull and the sights were slightly better IMO. I have shot both guns and the Taurus also seems to be a little better on the recoil too. Crimson trace is coming out with a laser for the Taurus.

Well I went and picked up the Ruger LCP yesterday and it's a great little gun. I can't wait to get to the range with it. The shop I went to had all the ones I was looking for in stock. The Kel Tec just felt cheap holding it in my hand and I wasn't impressed with the finish or texturing on the grips. I really wanted to like the Taurus because I love my other 2 Taurus guns, but I didn't like the way it felt in my hand. The design was a little odd as well. The Ruger felt great in my hand and looked really sharp and clean. It was on sale too.
I went to Shoot Straight in Tampa last weekend and they had the Ruger for sale for $449. Shame on me for not doing for my homework beforehand, since the MSRP is $364. I would have told them what a bunch of crooks they were and walked out. Went to my local gun shop and they sold it to me for $329. If you're ever in the market for a gun in west-central Florida go to Old Time Gun Shop on SR 52. They're the best!
