Just so that i understand.....

Just so I understand this...

you pass the North Korean border illegally you get 12 yrs. hard labor.

you pass the Afghan border illegally you get shot.

You pass the American border illegally you get a job, driver's license,

allowance for a place to live, health care, education, billions of dollars spent so you can read a document.

We carry passports in other countries or face jail time.

MMMMM just making sure i understand...

You're right.

Perhaps we should make our immigration rules for Mexicans just like Mexico's immigration rules. After all, what's good for them is good for us.

BTW, cross the Chinese border illegally, and you "mysteriously dissappear".
Illegally enter Cuba, and get thrown in jail to rot.

Also, let's stop our military from "protecting" other countries, and have them protect ours for a change! Many countries U.S. troups are in don't want us their in the first place, so let's pull the troups out, and flatten the base to rubble.

I heard a funny skit on the radio this morning. A couple with a little boy had swam the river to Mexico and were talking with an immigration official. They wanted to sign up for the free medical and the free education for their son. They wanted to be there so the baby the woman was expecting would be a citizen and then they could stay. They said the planned on sending a lot of money home to family in the US, since they would not be paying any taxes. It went on and on, you get the idea. Ended up with the little boy saying, "they do speak English in the school I will go to, don't they?"

Admittedly, America has its faults when it comes to immigration, but anyone who compares our immigration problems to North Korea or Afghanistan is an idiot.

It's akin to saying Hitler or Pol Pot were good guys at heart, just "misunderstood."

All he is doing is comparing the consequences (or benefits) of illegally crossing borders of different nations.

I think its better comparing Europe's immigration laws or Mexico's. You cant just up and move from France or Germany to England and get a job free health care education on and on. An American citizen is outlawed from owning property in Mexico. Can't even own a home down there. Big mistake on there part they would get lots of American's down there investing if they would encourage foreign investment. Then maybe they wouldn't be filing across the boarder.

Yeah, let's review some of the consequences of other actions in those countries.

In North Korea, making international phone calls gets you publicly executed.

Some Afghanis believe it's perfectly moral and just to rape and kill young women who commit adultery or bail out of their predetermined marriages, or otherwise do anything that they aren't told to do. "Honor killings," they call them.

I understood the comparison. It's a stupid one.

Yea, I actually know a couple Americans that own a house in Mexico. Law or no law, there must be an easy way around it.

You can own property down in Mexico, it's just that aquiring it doesn't work the same way as up here. Down there it's entrusted to a bank. It's still yours in every way.

Actually you still have not long term right to anything. A friend of mine got hosed on 'his' house down in Mexico. The Gov't came in, kicked everyone out with zero recourse and sold the land to a developer of a resort. It tech is a 99 year lease on the land, however you build at your own risk. (at least that was the rules a few years back as I understood them)

Texas need to grow a sack of nuts and get on board. The laws that Arizona has passed recently on guns and immigration is making Texas look like a libtard state.
