Look man idiot or not, Do you know what kind of explosion 3 propane TANKs can do let alone gallons of gas included. I could hold 100 grains of black powder in my hand and watch it ignite burn and then nothing, but do the same thing and close your hand and the outcome is much different. I seen some folks in nam use gasoline to blow up a our sixby and you should have seen the mess it made, plastic cans metal cans what the hell is the difference???. Idiot or not folks like him/her need special watching for sure...

 

Suspect nabbed late last night while sitting on a airplane trying to fly to Pakistan via Dubai. The news said they have been watching him for the last 24 hours to see if he was going to meet up with anyone else.

IMO the size of the car bomb explosion is irrelevant. Its the fear it puts into the average citizen, its basic phycological warfare. They might have these blow on a regular basis in Kabul and Baghdad, but it doesn't happen here. At least not yet. Lord help us all if it ever does...

This resembles the car bomb found outside a London Nightclub a few years back that failed to detonate, except that one was filled with nails and ball bearings to inflict max carnage. Good thing an idiot made that one too.

The scary part of this is whole thing is that this guy is a naturalized citizen. It isn't like he was someone here illegally.

You can't really prevent these kinds of things from happening aside from shutting the whole country off to those coming or going.

Isolationism doesn't really bode well for our economy as there are things that we need to import as well as the reality is that we are part of a global economy. It isn't like we are in the 1940's again.

I have heard those wanting to ban Islam but part of our bill of rights allow for freedom of religion. Every time we ban something in the name of security is one more step toward Fascism.

Freedom and safety tend to be on each end of the balances and we have to temper the amount of freedom we want with safety.

I do applaud the guy that reported this and the FBI and all involved in securing our nation. Regardless of how crude this bomb was, it could have caused major damage.

 

Which means he should be tried, convicted and hanged publicly.
