SVT Fusion?

Since ford now offers the 265 HP 3.5L V-6 in the fusion, it is mechanically possible to put the 365 HP 3.5L ecoboost v-6 in the same car as both engines use the same block. So I thought why not ask ford if they will build it. I just sent them an e-mail inquiring about it. I even suggested they could add some larger brembo brakes, some suspension tweaks and 20's. Could you imagine the potential of that engine in the light a$$ fusion. The taurus SHO can run 12.9-13.0 with a tune right off the showroom floor, imagine what the lighter fusion would do. Anyway, if the send me a reply I will post it in this thread.

I remember reading an article in Motor Trend about a "Fusion GT" with an ecoboost I4, I think. But that was back before the new body style was even introduced - and they said Ford was waiting for the redesign to put the ecoboost in...we see how that turned out

I've always thought an SVT Fusion would be a pretty sweet ride. AWD ecoboost

Yeah my wife has a 4 cyl fusion now and its pretty quick, and she recently test drove a fusion sport w/3.5L v6 and she fell in love and she wants that car. I can only imagine how quick they would be with the EB out of the SHO stuffed into the smaller, lighter fusion. That my friends is hot rodding at its core.

That indeed would be sick. At first I was skeptical of the ecoboost 3.5 but now I see its got some cajones.

I asked this on a Mustang forum as to why they wouldn't put an Ecoboost similar to the SHOs in the V-6 Mustang. Maybe it is cost prohibitive, I don't kow.

It is to close to the gt, it would cost nearly what the 5.0 will, and puts out too much power 365hp is to close to 400.

And that 365 is in awd form...the rwd platform of the mustang would allow it to see more ponies that the fwd platform taurus couldn't handle. I've read ecoboost is still being considered for the Mustang GT. I don't think they should call it a GT though...imo, GT=V8. Maybe bring back the SVO name for the ecoboost?

Just call it the Mustang TT For Twin Turbo. I think an Ecoboost would be sweet in a mustang, but to me a mustang has a nice v8 rumble.

They have a trademark on "Audi TT" not Mustang TT.
