I hate ex's

My ex did some stuff while I was in Iraq. We have mutual friends that I bump into every once in a while. I have bumped into her too. You probably hate her guts and that's fine. Military guys like us go out and fight for our country so our women can enjoy the freedoms they do every day, only to find out that they crapped on us while we are gone. She probably expects that you don't want to see her so give her the opposite. It may sound weird but if you do bump into her, let her know in a subtle way that you are doing great. Don't recall the past. Treat her as an acquaintance. She'll think to herself, "Wow, what was I thinking." My ex wife screwed me over royally during our 6 years of marriage. 2 tours in Iraq and we had about 80k saved to buy a house, money I saved from reenlisting, my hard earned paychecks and all the tax free pay while in the Gulf. Meanwhile, the whole time she was working part time, flunked out of college, and did a lot of partying. I HAD TO GIVE HER HALF!! I have ever right to be bitter and I still am but I don't let her know that. I bump into her parents often at the local Walmart and mutual friends around town. I always talk about how great my life is, even if that particular day was a bad one, because I know that word will get back to my ex that I am on top of the world. I see my ex once in a blue moon and I make sure to have a positive attitude, tell her how I am doing, and ask about news with her (as if I care) but the point is that I know I leave her with a "WTF was I thinking when I let him go?" It feels great. Don't let her get to you. And like you said, let her know you are being social but without rubbing it in, dating, going out, whatever.
He who cares the least wins.
Your thinking will eat at an ex more than anything else. Its a great way to get pay back. Most people dont have teh strength to do it.

Sorry to hear that man, being in a relationship sucks when deployed, I went 10 months before I seen my fiancee, you can imagine what was going on in my mind. But to be honest, she was just a girlfriend, and we're in the Army so you should know how easy it is to pick another chick up. Drink water and move on.

there was a stock lightning motor with 40k on ebay for 3500 OBO last night. So I can see a blown 5.4 swap under 3k being feasible with the right deals. But when you start breaking stuff like Klitch, well it might cost a little more
