I read about that on yahoo today. 60 year old airplanes meet todays technology. The airplane has entirely new job in
Afghanistan. truly amazing.

I did security for these over in the gulf on one deployment. They are loud as f*ck compared to other planes.

It is cool watching them take off and land. They don't have wheels on their wings so a camaro and an F250 chase/guide them in for landings. As soon as the U2 gets stopped on the runway the dudes in the F250 rush out and put "training wheels" on each wing so it can taxi back to the hangar. The wingspan is so long that it would tip over if they didn't. Pretty cool to watch in person.
