Questions for ebay sellers please..

Looking for any information that I can get about selling a bike on ebay. I have never sold anything on there however I have bought a boat-load of stuff.

I have looked through all the how to and fee information on ebay and it is confusing, seems to be a lot of double-talk.

How much are the fees??
What is the best auction format to use??
Any suggested language for "buyer responsible for shipping"?
Any suggested sell terms?

This is the bike

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

not much info, but this is what I accumulated:

the fees are (I THINK) around 10% of the SALE cost. most people sell something for $10 but have the shipping at like $100, because the shipping isnt "taxed", the sale price is.

just search around on eBay and check out other auctions. make sure you put A LOT of the fine print in, you do not want to get scammed should a buyer back out

I sold a bike for $13,500 and I think they charged me like $100. Make sure you put the buyer is responsible for shipping or pick up. Plus, I would make it a reserve auction with a "buy it now" price as well. Good luck.

x2 on everything. They don't do percentages for bikes... check out eBay motors. I sold a Ducati sport bike a few years ago and did this. I have sold 3000 auctions of complete sports cards sets over the last 3 years and they do percentages with that stuff, but it is not where near 10%... only about 2-3 percent.
