Anyone in the National Guard
Yeah make sure you read everything on the contract and ANYTHING he says that sounds like "candy" make sure you have it in writing. I had a friend get screwed over by a recruiter. Also, I worked with a guy who did 2 tours in Iraq and Afganistan. Remember, as of right now, you have no idea what the military is. Sign a 3 year contract. Do realize after your 3 years, you still have 5 MORE years as reserve. The guy I worked with went home after work to find a fedex package calling him to duty. The men I talk to, pretty much say that what is going on over there in the desert is something else(not right). When I asked them if I should join they looked at me and prayed that I went to college and never look back. For some, military is the best thing for them, just think about it really hard. Put everything aside and do your 1st year in college, if you know it isnt for you simply drop out and join. Think through it all. Once you have a family it makes it that much harder.
