Kay Pad!

I own a 2004 Lariat F150, and I need to know how to change the key pad code! The previous owner doens't remember the code, and it would be great to know it! Anything to help me please! Thanks

The original key code can not be changed. You can add a second code that can be changed, but you need the original to do it. Dealer can read it with a computer or you can remove the back seat and read the sticker on the security module. Have you checked in the owners manual for the card? That is where it comes from the factory.

You can also turn yourself upside down and look above the emergency brake at the white box high up under the dash towards the door panel side. In big numbers on that box (GEM box I think) is the code. 5 digits.

edit: sorry I just noticed yours is an 04, mines an 02, they may have changed the location.

On the 04 if you pop the back seat panel off (search for instructions) then the code is on the driverside rear wall.

You need a flux capacitor reader and plug into the optical haloride connector under the BCU, once thats in, power up the halyide crystal and it will tell you your code on the efflorescence screen

Do that only if you are a queerosexual...

Otherwise remove the back seat and look for the code on the little black box behind the rear seat.
