Yea, I thought it was only a couple seasons old, but once I removed the tarp the manual fell on the ground and the receipt fell out of it lol. I purchased that back in 05. Damn time flies. All I've ever done with the engine is drain the fuel and change the oil every season. Change the oil after the first run every season, if I use it.

But yea everything plastic has broken, the chute has been redesigned because of it's continuose breaking. I can still spin it easy enough, but the top tilt part of the chute is fixed lol, damn thing kept blowing off one season so I removed the sissy Craftsman bolts and installed some heavy 10.9 auto bumper bolts w/big washers w/teeth lol. Hey it works!

So what engine do you have in your Simplicity shifty , -that you treat like crap ?

Spoiled with Honda's in the past and John Deere. The John Deere has a Kawasaki engine and that's 12 years old. All I had to do with that is adjust the Governor once. The Honda lawnmower, I had to adjust the exhaust valve, that was out of tolerance at one time, but that's a nice engine to work on.
