Some pics from Mount Airy

Path to my shed, where I keep the snow blower, which I dang near wore out today.

Driveway. Unfortunately the snow blower was not big enough. You can see it cuts through only about1/2 to 2/3 of the depth.

My street. It had been plowed, but I just finished up what I could with the blower. Notice my neighbors roof. That stack sticking out is for his fireplace and is about 6 feet high.

My deck. I shoveled just enough to get up a down the steps and open the door. I had to go out my back door to get to this. At that time, this morning, it was above my knees when I walked around the house.

There are a couple other images in my gallery. Unfortunately, I am not sure I could get out, as the street up to mine has been plowed, but has drifted back in. If not re-plowed, tomorrow I will try to clear it. Course then there is the next street...... I usually do my neighbors driveway, but could not this time. Too deep for the blower. Maybe tomorrow if I can gt him to break the edge, then I can finish his drive.

Parked in the same spot, just turned around.

Look at the difference in the trees, half the amount looks worse when it's wet.

I like to measure the difference between dry snow and wet snow by the grimace on the face of the person who's lifting a shovel full of it.....

Yup, I got some snow today... 31"!!

Took me 2+ hours (with supervision from my lab Maverick) to shovel my driveway, which is about 3 car lengths long. I was definitely wishing I had a snow blower today.

The deck has some nice drifts on it.

Big snow drift on the back corner of my roof. Not sure if I can do much about clearing that off.

man you guys should be lucky. some of your fellow people in PA are out of power. My dad got called out on saturday morning (he is a electrician with Kentucky Utilities) and they called out like 10 crews from here in western KY to go up there and help to restore power. i talked to him about 20 minutes ago and they are in Jefferson City, PA and he said they have about 12 inches there and their next stop is (pardon my spelling) a town called allegeny pa.
