Fairly presumptuous wouldn't you say? I bet most 19 year old out there think their dads are jackasses. Rarely are divorces one sided. Either way its going to be worse for you and your sister, make sure you two do not take sides and remain as close as you can.
no...he is a jackass....i know every 19 year olds will say "im not like most 19 year olds" so i wont even go there..but he has to be bipolar or something.....and i know its not 1 sided because they both argue about dumb horse crap..but he starts it 90% of the time

Sorry to hear the news but if they fight all the time, it's probably going to be a lot calmer with them living in separate households. Divorce is hard on everyone involved, stay strong.

its all good tho man, its for the better im sure.
my parents have been divorced for almost 10 years and theyre both much happier. The most important thing is that they still get along and cooperate with each other, especially when it comes to you and your sister.

As for the divorce, I hate to hear that man, i don't know how I'd react if that happened with my parents...my best friend of 6+ years parents divorced about 2 years ago and he was a great kid before that happened, but after the divorce he quit talking to me, started hanging with people that are into drugs and ended up in a lot of trouble with the law dealing and using drugs, od'd and went to rehab, he's doing better now but will never be the same. He goes back and forth between parents staying with whoever will give him more and causes problems between both parents...it's a sad thing, especially when your younger and still living with them.
TLDR; Make the best of it, don't go back and forth taking sides with whichever parent is giving the upper hand to you. I hope the best for you, enjoy life

Sorry to hear about that bud... My Mother passed about 7 years ago. Then my Dad got re-married a few years later, and I haven't talked to him in over 2 years now. They say a woman can change a man. I'll second that.
