I can't believe that of all that our president said in the state of the union address, this is what people take away from it.

The presidents comments about a supreme court decision were only a small fraction of what he said.

All you heard was our president criticizing the supreme court and the seperation of powers? I can't believe that you didn't hear the message that I heard loud and clear. Drink the cool-aid. The cool-aid is good. You'll really like the cool-aid. You can have any color cool-aid as long as you drink the cool-aid. The cool-aid will quench your thirst for coddeling. Pay attention to the sweetness of the cool-aid, not the bitterness. You can drink all of the cool-aid that you'de like, we'll continue to require someone else to supply it to you. This cool-aid is being handed to you by our messiah, you must like it.

Actually, I didn't hear hear the speech. I read a book instead. I'm pretty sure that I'm right about what was said though.

It's ok to "make a change". Yeah, um after Brown's big win in Mass.

 

He lied about not increasing taxes on the middle class either but the government has taken more out of each check I have received in 2010. Maybe it isn't a tax increase?? Just a change in the tax table?? Can anyone make sense of that for me please?

Have they just figured out a way to have more cash coming in by changing the tax table or is it considered raising taxes?

Either way I'm out more money each check and I sure as hell don't make $250,000 a year.

 

I didn't pay as much in. I didn't get any back tho. When your 20, you deserve to get your money back, most of it anyhow. I'm broke college student, i was looking forward to a refund this year, but nope.

You and those like you are more than a 'single' tax payer. And you are each paying MORE than a dime, not just an extra dime.

So he didn't REALLY lie. There is not a single tax payer paying an extra dime. There are millions of taxpayers paying more. And maybe he intends to give it back to you next year.

The problem is you heard what he wanted you to hear, not what he actually said.

With politicians and con men, you need to listen to EXACTLY what they say.

While our country continues it's downward spiral, we can all agree to disagree when it will happen. I know it won't be long!!!.
