The head of a panel of United Nations climate scientists said Saturday he would not resign despite a recent admission that a panel report warning Himalayan glaciers could be gone by 2035 was hundreds of years off.
Al Gore and his cohorts need to spend more time in Canada. Despite the fact that the planet is warming up (supposedly), we've been having some of the coldest winters in 15 years.
Every morning when I check the forecast, it shows the record temps for that day. About every 10 years there's been record warm temps set. It lasts for a couple weeks, then it goes back into the normal range. Right now we're in another warm spell for this time of year, usually it's in the -15C to -30C range. For the last week or so we've been in the -10C to +4C range.
The last time it was this mild was roughly 10 years ago, then it was 10 years before that, and so on.
It's a testament to mankind's arrogance to believe we have the power to change the climate on an entire planet.

The IPCC "made a clear and obvious error when it stated that Himalayan glaciers would be gone by 2035," Patrick J. Michaels, a senior fellow in environmental policy at the libertarian Cato Institute, said in an interview.
"The absurdity was obvious to anyone who had studied the scientific literature. This was not an honest mistake. IPCC had been warned about it for a year by many scientists."

Chris Horner called these people (IPCC) out in his 1998 book, "Red Hot Lies". I knew it was going to be good when I saw the name of the first chapter: "Greenpeace steals my trash".
