Dirtbikes (anyone ride?)
I just picked up a:
04 Honda CR125, only mods are high compression piston&rings and dunlop tires. Bike only has 8 hrs on it, pretty clean bike for $1,000
I'm asking if anyone else rides or has, I will most likely have questions in the days to come since this is my first dirtbike and my first 2 stroke.

I can't ride a 125 but you picked up one heck of a deal. Keep that bad boy! Hey man if you want moe power u could pick you up a 500cc engine and built a super CR and be under 3G they usually around 10g.

I'm running 93 octane with a 50:1 ratio of synthetic oil. The guy that had it before is really knowledgeable about bikes and he did run some 110 octane in it once, I just don't know if I can afford it for $42.50 per gallon right now...
I don't think I'd run 50:1 in a 125. I run 32:1 in my son's KX65. He just moved up to it from a KLX110.

Yep, 32:1 or even more oil than that in a 125 race bike.
As for race gas, there is a lot more to it than just higher octane. The right race gas (they are not all the same) for your bike can make a big difference in performance if you optimize your jetting for the fuel.
However, in my experience, most two strokes will run fine on pump premium. So if you on a budget and don't need the last bit of extra power, find a good gas station.
For $1,000, you did well, IMO.
I have a '02 KTM 250 Exc, 2 stroke enduro bike and single track trails are my favorite.

Well, I took it out riding today and not sure if I am going to keep it or not... I went trail riding and was really missing the bottom end torque. I love the power and handling of the bike, just not the right power range...
Ill sell you my 450 for 2K, you wont have a problem with power
