Excel

anyone have a cheap resource for this? I just started a class that is just an introduction and it seems it is widely used. I feel I should get to learn it before saying I can use the program during an interview. Thanks.....

Jim

When you said it was for a class is it a college class or something? Most schools sell software for classes relatively cheap. I know that my school sold it for like $90 instead of the normal price of $150.

I went to the Career Link office for the class. I don't have to learn it, however some of the jobs I have seen have it as a requirement. Is Open Office work the same way?

OpenOffice does pretty much everything that MS Office can do. There might be some advanced features that it can't do, but to the average user, its not something to have to worry about.

Yeah, openoffice should work just fine, you can set it to automatically save files in a microsoft format, or just select the format you want every time you save a project. (up to you) If it doesn't work though, you should be able to get a student copy for a fairly reasonable price.

I assume your in college? If so, you might want to look into computers at your schools library. I know most universities have it free for students to use on they're computers.
