Barrett-Jackson Auction

Anyone else watching the Barrett-Jackson auto auctions on the SPEED channel? I love seeing all these old muscle cars! And I can't believe someone paid $75000 for a 1936 school bus. It was nice and all but damn

I think the school bus took everyone by surprise. Market seems to be a little soft overall. Nice to see the 71-73 Mustangs picking up. 71 Mach I in the 30s.
Did any one see it a couple of years ago when the 70 Chevelle LS6 convertible went for like 1.3 million? It sold last year for 247,000. Buyer lost 987 grand in two years.

Having watched these for several years, you can definately tell the economy has impacted the prices of these collector cars a bit. There have been a couple old muscle cars that have sold for less than $50k today. Hell I should get over there and ****** one up! Although the "premium" cars will be out on saturday/sunday.

Beautiful 32 Ford on right now...me want

I started watching this show a few years ago myself. I'd love to get a 67' Chevelle Super Sport some day.

I'd like a 67 to 69 Z28. One of my inspectors that retired a couple of years ago, just bought a 69 Z28 at a show in Pigeon Forge. It is a nicely restored driver, all original except for having a 350, instead of the original 302. He just swapped that motor out for a 355 from Patriot. He is looking for a DZ code 302 to keep, in case decides to go all original later on. Here it is with his built 95.

Yeah this auction is struggling. Can't believe that 58 Wagon only went for $40K! This economy sucks.

Yea, there are some beautiful cars on there. I watch it mainly for the mustangs, and old Fords as well. Some of those chevelles and Novas are very nice as well.
There is a member on here and I believe it is her Dad that fixes up stangs, and sells some of them at Barrett Jackson.

That one Ron guy is awesome. He buys so much stuff, and seems he is a HUGE Ford fan. I would love to see his collection.

Matching numbers 1970 Chevelle SS 396 just sold for $40k. They are practically giving these cars away.

LOL... Did anybody else just see the "firetruck" which just sold for $100,000? The announcers were amazed when it hit $50K.
