I don't think y'all should hold your breath for a response.
I'd love it if he would respond. I almost want to subscribe to this thread just in case.

I don't think I'd want a complete resto done in 7 days anyways, whatever the budget. Taking time getting things done right is well worth it to me.

Here is the site and his blog is in the frist post. we need this to get lots of press so chip foose will see it and take the challenge!

my buddy at the trans shop has built some sweet cars in the past....on a buget unlike Mr foose. i really hope this happens because i will hopfully get to work on this project car and be a part of the "Dream team"....i hope.

Get the word out people foose is bound to get this sometime!!!!

shifty, a vehicle built by chip foose will carry a hefty value from that point on VS one built at your buddies shop...

i bet Foose could do a build that would rattle your cage on a budget. With his connections he could get alot of stuff for free, including work and parts

You'd just have to pay him 100G to come down and do it.

Funny thing, just saw him on that "Musclecar" show on Spike TV, those 2 geek hosts calling him dude every 2 words then wanting a Foose bro-mance. Nice guy Foose is though, met him and Coddington's old painter Charlie at Autorama there in Detroit- down to earth kinda guys really.

10k would go so fast.

assuming it was a clean 2000 mustang or camaro that didnt require anymore than the paint be touched up, or went sanded and polished.

figure $2500 for tires, rims, balancing, mounted and tax
$1k for suspension upgrades to get the right stance and performance
$5k for a roots or twinscrew blower
$500 for a tune and dyno

leaves $1k for little stuff like tinted windows, paint and detail supplies.

unless you are going for a car with stock performance and all looks and then you could easily spend the $5k on paint. (no thanks)

this is the champion beer league guys calling out the New York Yankees.
