I wish the pain was still physical, but thanks And i wish the best of luck to you in these challenging times.

No seriously, this last year has been wild welcomed a new member to the family at the start of the year and said goodbye to one alil over half way through.

I missed alot of work this year, I choose to stay out with the baby 7 weeks due to my wife being in her last semester of college. I prayed about it and its kinda amazing how it worked out so she could finish and obtain her degree. Spent a few days with my dad while he was himself then a week when he died. Trails and tribs have left me out I dunno probley 3 months this year right at it. With that being said I have missed out on at least 8-10 chances of promotions. To promote within the department I work you must take a placement exam, the first exam I had to turn in early(crappy story) left 40% of it unfinished. The 2nd chance I had my father passed the night before the exam I missed that one.

Where is it you grab hold of when you want to let go? I mean don't get me wrong here im not throwing a rope around a ceiling beam or anything. I just keep asking myself, I have always waited for the signs, goods, bads from God. I am a believer always have been, but we all know God can't live our lives for us we have to strive such as many of you on this site have to get where/what you have. I want to tighten down and rally myself to get past this last year. I just don't know if I still have the "give a poop" for the job anymore, I want more I want different but with this economy how can anyone get what they want. I dunno if this is a rant or a series of questions. Either way it kinda feels good to air it out.

Each time your down and out simply go into the babies room while the baby is asleep, pull up a chair and just watch. There is nothing and i mean nothing more renewing, relaxing or soothing that watching your baby sleep. Then and only then will you know why you are who you are and why you must achieve your best each day!!!. Good luck and hang tough....

Being without a job/missing work can definitely add to life's pressures/stress (been there). Just remember that things are not as bad as they seem. One of Lucifer's greatest deceptions is fooling people into believing a situation is hopeless. Ask the Lord for help with a situation and He will if our hearts and lives are right with Him.

Isaiah 55:7-9: "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
