Tell that to my brother-in-law with the V-Rod garage queen (under-engineered clutch - after 3 of them burning, had to finally go Barnett). And the dealer blamed it on Harley's own specified HD Syn-3 oil! LMFAO !

And around here their 'value' seems to have tanked.

RSC - your really ought to refrain from the use of 'Harley' and 'Quality' in the same sentence.... non-sequiturs are not cool, and connotes vestigial 'cluelessness'

I will say this: They are peerless marketers - the envy of just about any other M/C manufacturer. And if you are a tinkerer, this it the bike to have - vast aftermarket, many interchangeble parts. That aspect is very cool.

Say. I think y'all can now buy an H-D Logo embossed drip pan @ the dealers. No garage is complete without one, lol.

Labnerd, great post! I'm still laughing. Frankly, I'm a bit surprised that nobody has picked up on the fact that Johnson also makes outboard motors.

Give Labnerd his due - he's earned it in my book.

Besides - how may "which oil & filter is best" threads pre-date 2003... and you STILL see them all the time So - moot point, IMHO

There's no FAIL in General Dementia - it's all good!

Y'know, diaper-filler, taking things out of context is a sign of immaturity.

A condition for which you are almost universally considered to be The poster child for.

In the immortal words of a certain Vulcan: "You have been, and always shall be, a punk".

g'bye, buckwheat
