Newbe

I just found this site and I cant believe the wealth of info there is. Unfortunately I found it due to somebody stealing my tailgate the day before Xmas and of course I'm trying to find a replacement. I'm sure I'll be visiting this site alot. Happy New Year!!!!

You need a Jimmi' Jammer™ Gate Keeper™!!

http://www.jimmijammer.com/Product,%20GK.htm

I bet this is what happened...

Some theif spec'd out your truck for a tailgate that got damaged. Probably looking for that exact color for a Ford F150. So this is what happens...

1. Unhook the straps...

2. Lift the gate off the pivot...

3. Split!

And you come out of your dwelling and come to this! You've been robbed!

And now your out one tailgate and over $1000!

You need this:

The Gate Keeper™ bolts onto your truck and covers the pivot point so the tailgate cannot be removed without proper tools. Five minute installation!

By the way, thanks -- I was really getting tired of driving around without a tailgate on my truck!

not to hurt his profits, but i doubt it will since its not as good. i took one of those big tywraps. the heavy duty black ones that are about 3 feet long and put that around the mounting point where it slides out. i know every time i need to get one of those cut in a close quarters its tough to do. it will at least slow them down.

Just lock the tailgate with the key and save money instead.

I have big wide hose clamps on mine and for an extra measure of security, I replaced the regular screw head with a star head.

Almost no one I know of carries star heads.. especially this sized one... As I actually had to go out and buy the right tool.

Best of all, it is on there so tight, that wire cutters won't get to it. Plus it's a little more beefier than a zip tie I'd say.

What about people who don't have locks on their tail gates? Or it is broke or they forget?
