Scangauge II

Been pokin around at the idea of getting one and read good reviews about them but wanted to see what you guys that have them think about them. The main reason I want one is for water temp and to see what my RPM's are at all times. I know about where it's at most of the time, but would like to have a more accurate idea.

Is it worth the money? Or is it just a waste of it?

What's all the features it has? I know you can check speed, RPMs, water temp, codes, mileage. I think I heard someone say you can check tranny temps too? That'd be nice.

Cool... you won't regret it.

I dunno why Ford being as savvy as they are, having built something like that into the instrument cluster. Possibly making the whole cluster a nice color LCD display and have the operator show the gauges he/she wishes to see. Maybe even have downloadable backgrounds and stuff.

That would be pretty cool. I don't even have a tach!

I'm tryin to find a place to put it on the dash so it doesn't look like crap but can't find any place that would look remotely good. Best Place I could find is on the floor behind my cupholders.

If I am thinking about a programer down the road will it do the same thing? Or Still work with a programmer?

Yes and hours to empty too.

Which especially useful for the ones that leave the truck on while shopping.

yes. you input engine size, tank size, tank cutoff, etc and it will do the numbers for you.

and yes, i unplug it for my XCal but once im done with the tune I plug it back in. if you get a gryphon or something that stays on the dash or something it would be pointless to get a SG2
