My son goes to college in a ski resort town. It is against the law to throw snow on the campus. Campus police will arrest you.
What am I missing here? Ya' think maybe a couple of people a year get hurt throwing snowballs, or a few windows get busted out. Arrest the people involved, but don't make it illegal for college students to throw snow.:santa:

I didnt see any arrestable offense other than the act of hitting the car (that was unseen too). Hitting the car is the only thing the group did wrong.
Trending Topics
cursing in public (unsure if that just citeable or arrestable)
disorderly conduct (getting in the officer's face and screaming at him)
haha, many of us have... and im sure im not the only college kid who will attest to that
1) Defamation is a civil action, not anything criminal. Further, it'd have to be shown that calling him a pig etc actually damaged him (dollar amount). No go.
2) His cursing might be regarded as political speech (they were at a protest after all). Either way, people dont get cited for that usu.
3) You wouldnt freak the hell out if some random dude pulled a gun on you?
4) That cop needs anger management, and demotion.
I was actually orderly, very much so. I just resented being cited for drinking underage in my own house. Hahahahaha

the cop's reaction to the snowball, in no way, will be an admissible excuse for screaming at him, yelling derogatory statements, and cursing directly to him, about him, in a public setting. Good luck to homeboy, because those videos work both ways.
as ridiculous as the cop acted, everyone took that a little too far. the kid should have just shut his mouth and left. if he was actually SCARED as the gun was drawn, which would be the indication, he should have left the scene, not just stood there harassing the cop and insighting a riot.
BTW: defamation is a crime, enforceable via power of arrest.
