Why is it that this forum does not have avatars?

 

Because the administration that set it up decided they did not wish to have them.

 

Is there any convincing the admins to add them in?

No, they felt that signatures worked better on a truck site and that having both was distracting and over doing it. They have made it clear in the past that it is how they wish to keep it.

 

Have you ever been in a forum where people have a little picture or an animated gif image under there screen name?

Scroll down through this forum and look at the little pics next to screen names. Those are avatars. I really wanted to add mine to this forum as well...

 

Some people even have them where they are animated. Some of them are really funny too.

Im pretty sure the signature on this forum is the same concept as the avatar. And this is probably a stupid question but does the new movie "Avatar" have anything to do with the signature face thing

 

I agree with the admins, way too cluttered for me.

 

It can get to be too much. I'd like to point out if your truck is chosen as Truck Of The Month (TOTM), you get to be one of the proud few with an avatar.
