Is it electric start? I know some of those little quads are kick start. Does it have a kill switch? Sometimes the kill switches will go bad on them and won't let it start.

It is electric start , I thought about the kill switch , but wouldn't that kill the spark ? It is getting spark (maybe not enough) not sure how to test that . Getting gas , has compression , timing chain is good . That is all I could think of . Seem like if it is electrical it wouldn't get spark , not sure though .

Same here . lol
I hate this dang little headache , was great up till this crap happened . Read that they are bad on the intake cracking , but not the case on mine .
Was trying to figure out how to add a lift kit to it since it has no front suspension . If I ever get it running I will try and make up something to lift it up . That would look crazy .

Sure would. I do know one thing. When it us to crank up, that little suck would haul butt. Even with me on it. My sons don't have front suspension either. But after I get finished with it, it will.

I think I'm going to take the air filter off of my sons tomorrow and try and see what it does. Somebody once told me that it might not be getting any or enough air. It sometimes act like it wants to hit till it floods out. Just a thought.

Done that already . To me it should start as it is getting what it needs to fire up . Gas and spark . The timing chain is good , compression is good . What else would cause this I am lost . Going to talk the supposed to be best around ATV tech after work Thurs or Saturday . Just don't want to put too much into this thing as I can buy a whole new motor for like $300

Just wandering if spark isn't strong enough . Would the cdi or the coil cause it ? Been along time since I messed with one of these

how do you know that it is getting fuel? Did you try spraying starting fluid into the cylinder thru the spark plug hole? give that a try and see if it studders or even starts for a moment.

Done that , nothing . Also after a few minutes of trying to start you can pull plug and smell the gas . But even spraying starter fluid and tried gas in there and still nothing .

What kind of carb is on it? Have you guys tried the old tap test on the float bowl to see if its stuck? The other thing that might have happened is there may be varnish in the float bowl and is mucking things up. There should be a screw or nut on the bottom of the bowl try draining the float bowl and see if you get dirty gas.

Float and carb are clean and good , that was the very first thing I checked when I got it here . Never been in water . It died while he was riding it , I wasn't there so I have no clue as to what it done .
