From just doing a quick search on the internet, yes, your receiver does have an optical input (which is your Digital Audio connection).

You'll need to run down to Best Buy, Walmart, Radio Shack, etc.... and purchase an Optical Audio cable. Run the cable from the Digital Audio Output from the TV into the Optical input on your receiver.

Set the controls on your receiver to play the Optical source, and you should be good to go. Any audio that is going through the TV should play through the receiver.

No need to change inputs on your receiver anymore, unless of course you want to listen to the radio.
