Don't get me wrong I love clean air/water as much as the next guy, but unless ALL nations (China/India) don't start taking it seriously it really wont make a bit of difference.
I love your logic.

First you claim human caused global warming is a sham foisted on us by scientists.

Then you claim that we can't make a difference unless all nations work together.

Earth to HarleyDude:

Hello! That's exactly what the Kyoto Treaty is all about!

If we sign on to any of these treaties, you can kiss the rest of our manufacturing jobs goodbye. And then you will begin to see many many more white collar jobs following soon behind due to the higher energy costs.

Bill Clinton told us that NAFTA would bring more prosperity to America. We are still waiting........Those jobs are gone forever.

I was reading a news article some time ago, that had a projection of The future of the USA. It stated that we would become a service society.
To this day I don't understand that statement. Do you have any insight on what would be classified as a service society?

Wow! If I recall correctly, NAFTA took effect at the end of 1993/beginning of 1994. Over the next 6 years we had strong economic growth that included blue collar manufacturing jobs and real wages gained substantially. Then we elected dumb dumb. He de-regulated the banks and credit card companies, let the illegals flood into our country; wages stagnated while prices rose. Cheney and Bush's oil interests and banking interests soared in value, oil companies made record profits and the American worker got bent over the gas pump. Then he left the economy in shambles and created record job losses. We are still not out of the woods after than lengthy fiasco. Thanks George. At least he walked with a nice Texas swagger so us pick-up owners could be proud.

Does the average American even realize Bush was not really a Texan but from an East Coast aristocratic family of bankers? In the 70's the Bush family started a friendship and business relationship with the Bin Laden family (the ones who planned, financed and executed the attack on the WTC) and the two families are still deeply connected today. I wonder what would have happened to the Bush/Bin Laden business/friendship relationship had American forces killed Bin laden while George was Commander in Chief?

Yes, that would be a two-class society without a middle class. You would either be a rich oil barron, banker, investor, etc. or you would be a poor worker that did all things the rich wanted done. If you want to avoid that, vote for someone who stands strong for the middle class and believes in investing in America's infrastructure, roads, schools, clean energy (most of those jobs can't be out-sourced) and who doesn't want to create new loopholes for the wealthy.

Another link. This dude is in the news, HE IS SPECIAL!
The first sentence. Since records started being kept in 1850!!!!!
People just can't comprehend how old this planet is, and we are here such a short time, we could barely be spotted by an outsider looking in.

Do you have any evidence of this Bush/ Bin Laden friendship? I'd like to see some good sources.

Not possible. Are you saying that we will have wealthy millionaires and then bums with no people in between? It doesn't work that way and it is not even possible unless in a truly socialist/communist country. There will always be people earning various wages and there will always be a middle class.

Also, I would like to know what is wrong with oil company owners, bankers, investors, and for that case... rich people? As far as I know, they have created a lot of wealth for our country through the years. So why the hate?

Why stand for a strong middle class when you can stand for strong wealth creation? Only politicians try to inject hatred of one class to another to earn political points. Only jealous people inject hatred towards one class. Do you think the wealthy have a hatred for lower and middle class people? Why is it always the lower and middle class that hate the wealthy? Jealousy maybe?

I don't have time to look them up right now, but I'll vouch for Real here. It is true.

What did I say that made you conclude that I hated rich people? I just want to live in a society with a strong middle class so I don't need to be armed when I go out. As the middle class shrinks, and the difference between the have's and have not's increases, the very fabric of American society falls apart. That's what's been happening over the last 8 years.

First of all, I do not hate the wealthy, I'm actually one of them. I have paid almost a million dollars to the IRS over the last decade. So there is no jealousy here. I probably should have paid a bit more as a priviledge for being able to live and earn in one of the greatest countries on the planet. I find other ways to contribute but the problem with that is other wealthy people who are not as civic minded will only help out that extra bit if they need a tax deduction. So, the wealthy who are generous, give back to the community and country that helped them become who they are while the greediest wealthy people pay as little as they can get away with. That's why I am in favor of higher taxes on myself, I want to make sure all the people who have benefited greatly from our system pitch in, not just the good-hearted ones. And the middle class is already struggling enough, if anything, they deserve a tax break.

I don't see it as taking away from what I've earned but rather investing in the future of our country.

And that argument that if the upper tax rates are raised, the rich will stop being productive and stop employing people is complete nonsense. Look at American history and personal/corporate tax rates. The most productive periods also had VERY high tax rates by modern standards. And yet America had full employment, high productivity and paid down the deficits we rang up during WWII and the depression that followed.

There are so many distorted views of reality in modern media, it boggles my mind.

There once was a Queen that was told, "There is no bread for the peasants to eat".
She said "Let them eat cake"
That was a huge day in history.

You are utterly and completely full of crap.

Or you have the biggest guilt complex of any limousine liberal outside of Hollywood.

Either way, you need to seek help.
