Good one Frank!

You see her as a 'good woman', I see her as a sell-out, a gigantic quitter who is vastly incompetent and stupid beyond measure (IMHO).

She lost interest in being governor during the campaign. All of the adoring crowds showed her there was money to be made. When she returned to Alaska with a newfound arrogance and lack of interest, she tried to jam the legislature with BS nominations, which were rightly rejected by the bipartisan committee.

She never lost her support base in Alaska, but she DID lose her support in government with her actions: letting her husband review personnel files, interfering where she shouldn't, making hairbrained nominations. It was a body of work that started long before the VP announcement and taken in total was alarming to people who suddenly realized that she was completely unequipped to run a state. Basically, the legislature usurped her power to prevent further damage.

The people she brought back with her were the same people she left with, Megan Stapleton chief among them. As her attack-dog-in-chief, Stapleton discovered that she wielded immense power by writing words for Palin to speak, and she is still doing so on Facebook and Twitter, and anywhere else that you see written items attributed to Palin, who is pretty much incapable of putting together a complete paragraph (witness her resignation speech).

When it comes to the reason for her resignation, there is no guessing to be done. She was presented with an advance cheque for $1.25 million just prior to her announcement. Anyone who thinks she resigned because of some altruistic motive is completely deluded.

Surely you could set your standards a little higher, you owe it to yourself.
I think you're just jealous of her for obvious reasons.

It's sad that some folks attack someone not in public office but yet put blinders on when the folks in Washington or state government are screwing you. Wake up, or better yet, educate yourself.

No I don’t Blue, witton is right.
I don’t know what the heck happened to me but I hate this woman so much it blinded me.

I pasted chefguys post in my previous post and didn’t cite him.
I was wrong for doing it and I’m sorry, I hope you guys can forgive me.
I hate this Palin woman so much, that while I was researching all her negatives, I stumbled across this post which had everything in it I wanted to say. I should have taken the key points and rewrote it, but I took the lazy way out and pasted his post in.

I don’t know what it is about this woman that gets under my skin so much, but it’s like all I can see is a
self-serving materialistic money grubber, and the fact that you guys don’t see it makes me crazy. I should stay out of the political posts; it just turned me into something I myself despise.

Sorry again guys.

I had already figured it out.

Hey man, you need to lighten up. It could be worse, she could be Canadian!

If she was Canadian she would have never been elected to any office in the first place. She would have been laughed right out of town.

My take on this is it's Joe Biden's fault.

He was offered VP or Sec of State.
Had he gone State, Hillary would have got the VP nod and McCain (aka The Maverick) wouldn't have made his desperation pick (Palin) to 'shake things up', get his campaign out of a funk, attract the female vote, appeal to disgruntled Cinton supporters, etc, etc...
It backfired on him because she wasn't ready. In '12 maybe she is, who knows.
Yes, she was besieged at the outset however, it was legit as MCCain would have been the oldest President ever sworn in, so the co-pilot has to be looked at hard.
I thought Romney would have made a stronger ticket.

And we wouldn't be arguing Palin's merits today because none of us would have heard of her.

cut and paste??? You're off your nut Bubba. That woman has been a running joke in Canada (and the rest of the world outside of the PSA for that matter) ever since she first surfaced. Every time she opens her pie-hole, anyone with an iota of common sense just shakes their head.

No, not everyone here has integrity, we have Harper and all his little Harperbots to put up with...
