He meant well, but very few of his intentions where what I wanted. To me, he was the dumbest I can remember and his biggest claim to fame is wanting to give everything to the whole world. Good intentions do not mean he governs well.

Nope, the last honest presidents we had were some of the first presidents of the country...

One of my grandfathers is an avid Jimmy Carter fan and a die-hard democrat from VA. He buys all his books, follows everything he says ect. He has let me read his stuff and he tries to persuade me into how good a person Jimmy Carter was. I don't fall for it.

I pay very close to foreign policy with Israel and I study all the conflicts, wars, prophecy, ect when it comes to the Middle East. After everything I have discovered, Jimmy Carter is an avid supporter of enemies of Israel and he took actions and positions that helped put Israel in greater danger.

He has been accused of many forged documents and plagerized maps, even the just the title of his last book gives away his love for the jealous, racists, hateful, terrorizing people of the palestine region.

I could go into his war on poverty which was a war 'for' poverty but that would take up a lot of space. :o

She quits her job as governor because she realized she could make more money peddling her ghostwritten book. Now that is real leadership and commitment isn't it?
No, she quit her job because she recognized that the time was NOW to re-enter the public spotlight and begin a publicity strategy aimed at gaining the Republican party nomination for 2012.

Being an elected official stopped being about leadership a long time ago. It's a popularity contest, now, more than ever. Obama proved that.

Palin is shrewd enough to recognize you can't win a popularity contest if you don't position yourself to be popular.

Four more years of Obama and this country is going to be irrevocably damaged. And the Republicans trying to run another decrepit white guy vs. Obama ain't going to win it for them.

With respect to progressives, the road to a progressive utopia is paved with "good intentions".

Palin is a distracion, as is quite evident by this thread. As people argue the merit of Palin, the progressive agenda marches forward. All is going as planned.

here, here wittom! This progressive movement isn't what I want for my country. I wonder how many people knew Obama was being totally serious when he said he was going to fundalmentally transform America?

Palins merit aside, I dont understand how we can just write her off for all eternity. If I were her, I would run for an Alaskan Senate seat, hang out for a while and run for president in 2016. That would be plenty of time for more experience in "the game" as well as more time to polish her skills.

Jimmy Carter almost completely decimated our military.
Jimmy Carter supports the murder of babies in a woman's womb.
Jimmy Carter's inflationary economics nearly impoverished half of the poor in this nation.
Jimmy Carter supports giving up American sovereignty to the United Nations via transnational treaties .
Jimmy Carter supports dividing up Israel and allowing the Jews to be further threatened by enemies that have sworn to "wipe them off the face of the map."
Jimmy Carter signed away the Panama Canal, etc, etc.

Good one Frank!

You see her as a 'good woman', I see her as a sell-out, a gigantic quitter who is vastly incompetent and stupid beyond measure (IMHO).

She lost interest in being governor during the campaign. All of the adoring crowds showed her there was money to be made. When she returned to Alaska with a newfound arrogance and lack of interest, she tried to jam the legislature with BS nominations, which were rightly rejected by the bipartisan committee.

She never lost her support base in Alaska, but she DID lose her support in government with her actions: letting her husband review personnel files, interfering where she shouldn't, making hairbrained nominations. It was a body of work that started long before the VP announcement and taken in total was alarming to people who suddenly realized that she was completely unequipped to run a state. Basically, the legislature usurped her power to prevent further damage.

The people she brought back with her were the same people she left with, Megan Stapleton chief among them. As her attack-dog-in-chief, Stapleton discovered that she wielded immense power by writing words for Palin to speak, and she is still doing so on Facebook and Twitter, and anywhere else that you see written items attributed to Palin, who is pretty much incapable of putting together a complete paragraph (witness her resignation speech).

When it comes to the reason for her resignation, there is no guessing to be done. She was presented with an advance cheque for $1.25 million just prior to her announcement. Anyone who thinks she resigned because of some altruistic motive is completely deluded.

Surely you could set your standards a little higher, you owe it to yourself.
