He lore or less told the people there "Join us and help us, us, but we're leaving here soon. You will be left here with the people that are hurting you now. But you can help us, and then we will leave you here with them, with no protection".

I watched the whole thing. I wanted to watch the show that's usually on at this time and hoped that he would make it quick. He didn't say anything different than he's been saying for months.

The one thing that I have to say, and I'm not sure if it was the camera angles or what, but I though that at any moment he would say "live from New York, it Saturday Night!" It looked a lot like a skit to me.

He has been in office less than a year. I suggest you wait at least three more years before trying to judge him. You may not have voted for him but he is still OUR president and he deserves OUR support.

i watched hoping to be shown some leadership and to be inspired so that we can go over there and come out victorious. neither happened for me. he talked about leaving in 2011 more than being victorious in the GWOT. i believe he is trying to "thread the needle" and please all sides. i cant believe it took over 3 months for him to come up with that....

Yes. We must wait untill he's fundamentally transformed America, into something that we no longer recognize. He knows that he's got a limited time to shove all of his "plans" down our throats.

Oh the irony. How many times in the last eight years did we hear these words said? We're supposed to react differently now than liberals did then?
