Tell that to Ross Perot, George H W Bush & Bill Clinton. If not for Perot, Bush arguably would've won. Then we would not have had Clinton in 1992, maybe not even 96. Maybe Bush Jr would not have been in the 2000 race. That difference could've rewritten history 100%.

I'm sorry that you had crappy teachers. I'm sorry you don't know what you're talking about. I'm ESPECIALLY sorry for the rest of the country that ignorant people like you vote.

p.s. You should "know" how to spell.

Ok, guys, lighten up on the insults. One has already gotten a break and one or so of you don't have a real strong hold on the bus.

oooh dang....Your soo much more smarter than me.

Well....i'm speechless. Did i make lil baby mad? That's what i was saying artard, these parties just hurt republicans/conservatives/lesser evils, for the most part.
So to me it's a wasted vote, no libertarian is ever gonna win.
You must be an old fart cause i can see you never text or anything cause if you did, you would kno/know ppl put "kno" for "know" all the time. Obviously you knew what word i meant so excuse me if i don't always use proper spelling and sentence structure when i type on a internet truck forum. I guarantee you, 100%, i can out spell you any day of the week.

And just to clarify the above....ppl=people, cause=because
Whats that other word for dog, like in Riley(dog)? That's what your acting like.(you might need to think about that one for a while......don't worry, i'll wait) I kno your type, your a coward, who would never say anything like that to my face, i guarantee that also. So you should just be your normal cowardice self when making a post.

Liberals are the ones that prey on the ignorant people/ppl that don't kno(w) anything when it comes to politics. Groups like acorn do this, you know...getting homeless ppl to vote multiple times and voting fraud? It's ridiculous really.

P.S. Maybe i am ignorant when it comes to the voting process, but guess what?............................................. .................................................. .............................................I can still vote.

Just curious, how is a vote not for the two major parties a "wasted vote?" That's the problem with people in the US, they think they won't make a difference by voting for a smaller party so they just vote Dem or Rep. I voted Ron Paul in the last election, and I'm pretty sure my vote still counted. As far as I'm concerned the idea that you should only vote for one of the two major parties is pure idiocy. Telling people their votes don't matter if they vote for the candidate they want instead of one of the two main candidates just shows ignorance and closed-mindedness, and also fights against democracy.

Because that is one vote that could have been for McCain. (he was the only other Candidate that had a chance besides Obama) I think i pretty much explained this in my OP, but here it goes, shortened in laymen's.

Is Ron Paul president? did he have a chance? Then it was a wasted vote. You just took a vote away from one of the only two that ever had a chance. You gotta pick the one that's closest to your own beliefs, whether that was McCain or Obama. I'm a right...McCain was left, Obama is ridiculously far left. I voted McCain since he was closer to the right.

I understand what you mean, but I still say that nothing will change if you're not willing to vote for the smaller person who probably won't win. If they're policies are what you agree with then vote with them. If more people do this then the party will grow in numbers and may, one day, become a legitimate player in the larger elections. If everyone is too afraid to vote for a third party because they don't think their vote would count, then there never will be a chance for them to win.

Now that's an educated response. Thank you Take a lesson Rileydog. I 100% respect you for that too. I'm just afraid for this election inparticular, Obama is not what America needs.
Thanks

I agree completely about Obama. On the last election I voted Paul for the primaries, but McCain for the actual election because I supported him more than Obama. I know that goes against what I just said but that was a year ago and I hadn't thought about it as much, at the time I did what you said. I more voted for Ron Paul because I had heard a little about him and it sounded interesting at the time. Since then I've actually gotten into the libertarian party and they're the closest matching party to my beliefs.

Well cool man, glad we see eye to eye! I voted Romney in the primaries and i whole heartedly believe he could've beat Obama, but in the past now anyway i guess. I'm still puzzled on how McCain got the "ticket," no one really seemed to like him that much.?

1) Untrue as it's already happened @ state level.
2) With an attitude like that, how can you ever expect govt to finally change. You're just accepting the horrible situation we have, and helping it along by not realizing there are other viable alternatives.

I actually agree with you there. Romney lost out because Huckabee was holding out for a _very_ unlikely (big) win. Huckabee split the conservative vote, allowing McCain to garnish the larger faction of the Republican vote. Romney was doomed once it came down to McCain & Huckabee fighting against him.

Whats this?......no insults?
Jk....i do appreciate that, i'm not big on being insulted.
1) Yes, i know it has happened at state level but their is a huge difference in state and national election.
2) I mean it's a good point, but idk what to say. You know, i can see that things i don't want, more likely to take place if i don't vote the most responsible way according to my beliefs and ethics.

That's interesting. I didn't really find Huckabee too appealing ever.

If no one changes their mind about "lesser of two evils," then we'll never have good change...hell, we wont even get good or change. The system won't evolve from the outside, so people must vote away from major parties.
