Thumbs up New to Firefox

I just switched from IE to Firefox with ad block. It seems to be working really well and pages are loading faster. I'm just wondering what other helpful tools/add-ons you all use with Firefox?

Ad blocker and IE Tab for those sites that really require IE to load properly. Those to me are the most important add-ons.

I've learned when using this site, I right click and open threads in a new tab, and then close the old tab. IE doesn't hang up that way.

Unfortunately, I have a few sites I visit that for whatever reason will not load with anything other than IE. One of those is the site I need to go to for firmware updates for my Panasonic BlueRay players. No other browser seems to work. At least so far. So I just always set that site to open in IE Tab. IE Tab is also good for downloading from MS where you have to go through validation.

The more I use it the more I like it, I was surprised at how easy it is to figure out.

I made the switch about a week ago was immediately impressed with how much faster browsing is compared to IE. This is especially true for pages that have a lot of flash content, IE used to bog down and take forever to load but Firefox loads in seconds.

I use chrome and FF, but chrome is my main. Couldn't get the plug-ins for it (flash player, etc...) until I downloaded FF. After that, it works fine, but FF is my backup now when chrome acts up. I like them both.

try looking into the fasterfox plugin. some people find problems with it, i think it helped out with speed.

another is selective cookie delete. set it to keep your cookies for sites that you want and it will delete all cookies from other sites you have visited upon exit.
