Christmas Trees..Real or Fake?

So just like it says, when you celebrate christmas do you go out and get a real tree or pop up the artificial tree? I cant decided if I want to go out and buy a fake one for me and my wifes first xmas together or take her out and pick and cut down our own.

We bought a real one one time because the wife didn't want a fake one. After that, she said she will never buy a real one again. Too much hasle. They have fake ones that look real, and you don't have to worry about spending money for the next year. TMO. You will find pine needles every day for a year if you buy a real one.

My wife and I have two cats and we use a fake tree. Its bad enough the fuzzballs eat and play with the ornaments we don't need them eating the tree as well.

Fake; real is too much of a PITA. Maybe if I lived out in the country and could just head out and cut my own, but while I live in the city, fake wins out.

Always a real tree for us.

Wife is pretty adamant about a real tree.

And it's a nice tradition to go out as a family, pick one out and decorate it. We all enjoy it.

Fake

I know now-a-days pretty much all the trees are farmed but still, I can’t get over the fact I chop a perfectly good tree to toss it out a week or 2 later. We’ve had a fake for about 5 years now and I like it better. No watering, no needles, and it was given to me, so every year is a $40 dollar profit. I remember when a big old tree was $10 bucks. Although I guess in the big cities real trees can cost up to $100. That true?

I'm lazy I guess and don't want the hassle of a real tree. I even bought a new fake tree last year that is pre-lit.

Nothing says Christmas like the smell of a real tree when you walk in the house. True they do require more care but they are just down right awesome. Now if only I could convince the wife.:santa:

the 'hassle' of going out and getting a tree and bringing it back to the house is something i look forward to.

but then again...i haven't had to pay for one yet

Real tree.

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation wouldn't be the same movie if the Griswalds went to the mall to buy a fake tree.....
