Putting dog down

Didnt know it was going be this hard, but its time to put my yellow lab down. she has had cancer for a while, and she is pretty much starving to death right now by not eating. we cant let her feel like this anymore. it is time. She has been the best dog ive ever owned, and will always remain in our hearts.

Awww... poor thing... at least it looked like it had a good life.

It's no biggie man... just put the dog out of it's misery and go on with life.

As they say it: Crap happens.

Sorry to hear that daddy. You are doing the right thing though. I have a little Shiba Inu that is getting sick again. Not fun. My wife takes it really hard too. To her, our two pups are kids not pets.

I feel your pain man. I think the first (probably only) time I saw my dad cry was when we put our old black lab down about 8 years ago. It was the first dog he'd ever owned.

You gave your buddy a good life, celebrate it and do what's best for her.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that. There are few things that'll make about any grown man cry, and putting his dog down definitely one of them. RIP ole girl.

What's her name?

Funny how she holds the ball in the side of her mouth.

I've had to do it twice now with both of our Huskys. The first time wasn't as bad because she wasn't my dog and I didn't do much but feed and water her since that was my "chore" as a kid. But the second one had been with me since I was a little boy and I was a freshman in High School when we had to put him down. So for 10-12 years he was my best friend. I'm not going to lie, I cried like a little baby for about 2 days and it was tough. Luckily we had just gotten a new house dog(our current dog) and I leaned on him quite a bit. Man its tough, but death no matter dog or human is just a part of like, another bump in the road..

I feel for you---we had to put one of my boys down in April---my chocolate lab...he truly was a gentleman of a dog. Your girl is a beautiful lady who has known what it is like to be loved, and she obviously has returned that love to you all unconditionally.

We will keep you and yours in our prayers about your loss.

Sorry man. I've never had to go through that but my dogs ran away last winter and that was tough. They become part of the family after a while.

You think it will be hard to do, but the right thing to do, until the moment arrives, and you realize it is extremely hard to do, and your not sure if your going to be able to do it.

Sorry to hear about your "Girl".

Ours turned 8 earlier this month and I'm paying more attention to any signs of her getting "older".
