Supervisor Troubles
I too feel your pain but not personally. I'm a young man myself , at 27 but i have 9 years experience in my trade. I'm a tool and die maker for a very large company that i wont name. but alot of our management comes off this way. luckily i'm not only a union employee , but the skilled trades steward on my shift. I have had talks with several managers behind closed doors about their issues. Some listen and become good supervisors ,but some i end up telling I was here when you got here , and I'll be here when your gone. I've never been wrong ....
there is a new thread about the guy the rainman movie was made after. To me it is both amazing and sad. It just goes to show you that being smart is not enough, you have to be able to apply your knowledge and communicate with people.
you might consider a Dale Carnegie course. i would let management know you are considering this, they will be impressed that you are taking it upon yourself to improve your communication skills for the purpose of making things better at work.
anytime an employee shows me they are trying to improve anything, i take notice.
