MyPlates Texas Is Back

For those of you who live in texas and hate the new license plates pictured below. and want a cool one like zeruin's. there is now a solution to your frustration

the company myplates that makes custom texas license plates is back. they were in buisness for a while then had to shut down but in about 2 days you can start ordering the plates again. they have colors and older texas plate designs.

doesnt say how much they are but if you register they send you a $20 off gift card for your order.

they look kinda fruity in person and in my opinion and most of the people ive talked to dont like the color mainly.

thats why the site is nice they have older texas styles that were more simple in design.

The *new* prices will be from $55-195 for a 1 yr plate. Buying a 5 or 10 yr plate will reduce the yearly cost..........

With the old plates, vanity plates were only an extra $40.00 per year over the cost of a standard plate. With the new prices (in some cases almost $200.00 extra per year) I'd have to want a vanity plate awfully bad to drop that kind of coin on something so inconsequential.

I also dont like the new plates because the characters arent "stamped" or "raised" its just flat all the way across and painted. Seems like anyone could just repaint theirs to match yours and you'd never know it

Here is the regular vanity plate option for $40...the $200 price tag is if you want a special design as well.

There is...Texas is just using digital printing now for all plates the way most states already do custom plates.
