BlackBerry Storm2 is out today.. Anyone?

Verizon released the BlackBerry Storm2 today, is anyone going to get it? I have had the Storm 1 (I'm on my 4th replacement) for the past year and couldn't wait to get a new phone and since the Iphone will not be available until Verizon switches over their LTE technology (4G) in late 2010 (still not 100%)... I'm considering getting the Storm2.. Anyone else??

New Operating system, they fixed the keyboard issue, 16G memory, Wi-Fi, 2G on board memory and a bunch of other stuff.

BlackBerry Storm2 refinements include:

* Enhanced SurePress Technology (SurePress is all electronic in Storm 2 - there are no mechanical moving parts)
* Overall device performance (i.e. rotation speed, etc…) is enhanced
* JavaScript is now On by default
* Wi-FI 802.11 b/g
* 256 MB Flash Memory (Storm 1 had 128MB)
* 2GB Onboard Media Memory (Storm 1 had 1GB)
* Sleeker Design (tinted chrome ring, etc.)
* Integrated touch navigation keys
* BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0
* Internet browsing enhancements (i.e. faster page loading)

Did they address the sticking problem? The front cover used to stick down all the time so when she'd click on a number, the cover would stick and dial 100 4's in a row.

I bought an iphone and it works great. It seems like theres a new phone every 4 to 6 months some sort of a new up grade. Drives me nuts.

well the wifi just sold me on it. that's the one thing that i really wished my storm had the most and it seems like they just made it a better phone overall.
i'm willing to bet that verizon will start replacing current storms with these if you try hard enough. they will already give you a blackberry tour if you want in place of a storm.

yeah they fixed that.. the old sure press technology was with 1 button placed in the center of the touch screen. there was actually a physical button behind the screen.

The new sure press technology has 4 electronic sensors placed at the 4 corners, it is actually fully electronic and works by sensing the pressure of your finger..

My early upgrade date for Verizion is November 9th and I'm going to buy it! I cant wait!

Sounds like the right fix...I couldn't see how that movable screen was going to last very long w/o having some sort of issues.

I'm thinking about getting one. I've had BB's through work for years now and love em' (currently have the Curve for work). I think I might like the storm2 for my personal phone since it has all the cool features, and it won't have a corporate lock down like my Curve does.

my brotha and his gurl had them, and every single weekend he was at verizon getting a different 1. after about the 6th time, i guess verizon said they will give him an upgrade of any phone/blackbery for no charge. so he got the other new blackberry tour. he has no complaints yet..lol
