3 reasons I do not like Blackberry:

1. You need Blackberry Enterprise Server for an organization -- which is a total rip off and still doesn't fully support MS Exchange capabilities. Just a total marketing gimmick.

2. Being a programmer myself, the Blackberry OS is based off an archaic Java platform and developing applications is a hassle. Not to mention they rely heavily on the amount of accessible RAM on the device. Then the added bonus of when you do develop software for the Blackberry OS, you need to "author" the program which is also a line of crap.

3. Memory leaks prevail because of the poorly written Blackberry OS. Also, it is very easy to write bad code and wipe out a Blackberry.

Those are the 3 top reasons why I do not support Blackberry. I wish the company would die like Palm should.

I've been looking forward to the Droid for sometime. I think this phone will explode on the market. I hope I'm right, because I invested $22K in stock on Motorola yesterday.

The nice thing, you have both options.....touchscreen keyboard and slider keyboard.

What Exchange capabilities does it not support? I have a personal Blackberry Bold hooked up to my company's BES and it synchs everything wirelessly. What else would I need? This is my 3rd Blackberry and I love it. The only thing on my wish list would be more app memory. Other than that it works great.

My wife just got an iphone and it is cool and has great apps but I need something with real push email and a physical keyboard. I do a lot of work on my device and do lots of typing.

RIM is working on a new device with a touch screen and a full slide-out keyboard, too.

How's the Storm2 holding up?

Just wanted to check in and see how you Blackberry Storm2 owners are holding up? I'm making the switch from Sprint to Verizon in a few days (early January) and the wife and I are wanting to go with the Storm2 since it's buy 1 get 1 free. I'm still seeing some mixed reviews about the quality of this device, so I wanted to see what the Storm2 owners on this site have to say. I know the first Storm was pretty much a bust, but I'm hoping the Storm2 is still decent? Thanks fella's
