The Obamination's Magical Achievement Checklist
As Obama said during the campaign, "America is the strongest, richest, and best country in the world, now it's time for change."
I know he didn't say that as a direct quote, but he did say those sentiments at different times.
I know he didn't say that as a direct quote, but he did say those sentiments at different times.
People need to relax.
You've got to give Obama a chance.
He's only been in office for a few months.
He's trying to fix our country but the republicans are getting in the way.
He was left with this mess.
The American people just don't know what's best for them.
The government will take care of their every need.
Ok, before you get pissed off at me and go on a rant, that was sarcasm.
More and more people are waking up to what's actually happening to our country. We've all got our opinions. We can spout off to friends and family. We can rant on the internet. We really need to do more though.
Thoes "teabaggers" are making a difference. Anyone who believes what the main stream media says about these people is plain ignorant. I was one of the 1.5 million people (give or take) in DC on 9/12/09. I could not have been more proud to stand up with so many decent people. There were a few bad eggs, but they were nary a handfull in this huge crowd.
I've attended other, local events. I try to work with people in my community to have a voice. There are more and more people working together to make our government accountable.
Everyone can do something. One really easy thing is to be in contact with your representatives in congress. Call your reps and senators. Daily. Tell them what you're concerned about. Tell them that you give the current administration a big F on the report card. Call them every day, it's thier job to listen to you.
I called my senators office the other day. Senator John Kerry. I asked his aid why he and his colleuges would support the proposed health care legislation when there is every indication that the American people don't want it. She said that Kerry's constituents are telling him to support the proposed legislation. This means that there are more people in support that are calling him. You've got to wonder if these people have read any of the wording! The national polls tell a different stroy.
People, all people, need to call their representaives. If we complain but do nothing the people who support the "fundamental transformation of America" will succeede. We've got to let our government know how we feel and that we aren't going to tolorate what they are doing. It's not just our right, it's our duty.
