Cop attacks kid in school

http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2...g-on-teen.html

I wonder what kind of "special needs" this kid is though. Is he a legit mentally disabled kid? Didnt look that way. He was being a **** to the cop? Probably. Should the cop throw him against the wall? Nope. Wait til cop is off shift, then beat the kid probably talking crap? Yeah. Looks like he was talking crap to that lady too.

The academy is a high school for special-needs students who are emotionally disturbed or struggle with behavioral disorders.
I dont think the kid really had much wrong with him, besides not knowing when to shut his mouth. He was clearly running his mouth at the officer, and probly deserves what he got. The article says the kid was sent to the principle by the officer for having his shirt untucked, then didnt tuck it in and walked by the officer again once leaving the principles office. It sounds like they're just using "special needs" as an excuse. I was listed as "special needs" in junior high and highschool because I have ADHD, but I clearly know not to run my mouth to a cop.

I work at a school with a very high minority count, and my greatest concern is that some "thug" wannabe will run his mouth off at me and I go postal on him. Luckily, the kids know me as "that cool substitute guy", so they really don't give me ****, just the occasional kid who needs to be escorted out by the principal.

I keep fearing the day a cop tries to over step his badge boundaries with me. Because, then it's going to be my life or his. And, I fear my soldiering might kick back in. I just keep asking myself, will I stand idle as he beats the life out of me or will I try to make sure I don't get a broken nose because I didn't answer a question he demands I answer despite the law saying I don't have too. But, of course, deputy bad-**** thinks his badge is Jesus new coming.

What I mean is, I fear the day a cop thinks he can tazer me or yank me around because I may ask him why I was ticketed for something I thought I might not have done or didn't use my blinker properly.

Obviously not for something I am guilty of.

I am outraged of the amount of videos where a cop harasses a kid for skate boarding and hes 13 (yeah the kid might be being a punk, but he's 13--). Then a 200 lbs cop does a stone cold Steve Austin on a 85 lbs 13 year old who is just trying to show off for his friends (maturity levels - cops is supposed to be a little more). Where is the Adult temperament, the professionalism, the duty to deescalate a situation cops are trained to do?

If I were at the school and saw that cop do that, I would of honestly restrained the cop or attempted to in the name of protecting that boy. Despite the kid being a punk, that cop had no right to push him like that completely off guard. Restrain him and he refuses, fine, but just strong arm bull ram him into a wall? That's a *girl area* move if you ask me.

May sound like a stupid thing to you, but that video friggin' disgusts me.

I keep seeing video after video of cops harassing citizens.

But now! It's now growing in number to see videos of cops beating other cops for territory, EMS for not pulling over even though they have a patient, firefighters for speeding and asking for a break for brotherhood, soldiers who just came back from deployment, you name it. Their "brothers." All the people they are supposed to protect and whom also they protect and stand for.

Protect you ask? Nah, that's right, the supreme court ruled that NO cop has ANY DUTY to PROTECT anyone!

Society is getting sadder and sadder.

LEO's are human, just like the rest of us. Treat them with common decency and respect and almost always, it will be returned in kind. However, just like RI says, there are always a few bad apples in each bunch. It's just too bad that this is all we hear about.

I may be jumping outside the box here, but I kinda think that most people who hate LEO's just may have problems with treating people with respect themselves........what goes around comes around.

IMO, the kid probably deserved his azz whipping...and the cop probably over reacted. Special needs? Sounds more like babying than anything else.

How does a kid deserve to get his butt kicked by a COP who was 4 times his size?

Why?
Because they do things other people cant just because they have a badge and a gun. I've seen LEO's drive their cruisers stupidly where if the role was reversed, they would have pulled over a civilian and gave them a hefty fine and a ticket. I've seen them speed with no where to go except to a store or a restaurant for food. A civilian would have definitely gotten pulled and ticketed.
To me, cops are people who were bullied in high school and wanted a job so they can get back at society.
Hell, I've dealt with some decent cops but there's just a SMALL percentage of them who are. Others are just power hungry bastards who I believe, again, because they have a badge and a gun they can do anything and are above the law.
I treat people with the utmost respect but when I don't get any, why should I give any??? That doesn't mean I'm going to be completely rude, but I also give what I get.

I have been treated rudely by a couple of young "full of their power" officers of the law, that were on a power trip. These were on small town forces and probably just needed to build themselves up in their own minds. Everytime I have been stopped by a Texas Highway Patrol officer, I have been treated courteously and respectful.

There is no doubt there are bad apples out there and are only on the side of the law because they wear the badge. However, I do believe most are good guys out there to serve, and until they show me otherwise, they will have my respect.
