Microsoft XBOX 360 Vid Camera

Guy gave me a MAC Mini, Bose speakers, Rocketfish Mic, Microsoft keyboard and this Microsoft XBOX 360 Camera as payment for work done on his vehicle.

Well, I'm going thru everything, so far so good,- except for the camera. I'm trying to run the camera on a DELL Inspiron 1525 laptop 1.8 duel core w/4gigs of memory and Vista Premium, but I can't get it to function.. Is there a trick to it? I plug it in, the system loads the necessary drivers and says your new hardware is ready to use. So how do I use it? What am I missing?

With what software or program are you trying to use the camera?

I rotated the tires

A 2001 GMC Savana conversion done by the Explorer Van Company out of Ohio. The Van has all the bells and whistles but had numerous wiring problems. Rewired and rebuilt harnesses among other problems. Removed all ground effects/ bumper covers as they were tore up and hanging lol.. Side doors didn't open, -fixed those.

Danggg, that little Mac sure moves right along lol. I plugged the Camera into the Mac and nothing .

The Camera itself feels warm, but yea, -still not working. I also tried connecting to a desktop running XP Pro, -no glory. It's recognized on both Vista and XP in devices/hardware, but that's about it.

Guessing I either need special software or it's broken. ?

WAIT! I got it to work in a program called "Photo Booth" on the Mac.

Alright cool, works great, -so I guess I need software for the PC. Any recommendations ? I haven't looked to see if there is a PC version of Photo Booth yet, guess that's the next step.

Oh , and I need to fix my iPhone, -busted the touch panel or front cover glass. Anyone fix one of those yet?

My iPhone can be fixed, ie - front panel kit. I have a heat gun, guess you need one of those to make it happen.

Well, my jack quit working in my iPod - 5th Gen U2. I guess I need to replace the Jack, here -

That's been broke for awhile, -I miss the damn thing tho, so I'm going to attempt fixing it.

If anyone has any luck with this , post up
